To all shooters, our staff tries to provide the safest shooting environment they can. Every week we replace the target stands and sticks. We have targets and push pins to put them up. Yes, shooting paper can be boring at times. So, some bring clays, water bottles, potatoes, and a few other things that must be approved by the Range officer on duty.
However, during one of our safety checks last week an RSO found a large rock with several hits to it. The rock was at the 200-yard range. If we see ANYONE deliberately shooting rocks, the red flags or holders you WILL be permanently suspended NO SECOND chance. All officers can suspend any person breaking some of the bigger safety rules.
If you have a question on what you can/cannot shoot, ask the duty officer.
We do understand we are shooting in a sand pit and a rock strike will happen from time to time but not several rounds in 1 rock.
