Last Day that CG&A operate the range
December 31 @ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Cowlitz Public Shooting Range WILL be closing as of 12-31-25 This is a permanent decision made by the county. What the county does with the range will be decided by the county.
Update on the CPSR. It looks like the Cowlitz Sheriff and county Parks department will be taking over the range as of 1-1-26. As of right now it looks like the CGA will close the range under its control to the public at end of shift 12-28-25. Yes, the contract expires on the 31st.The 29th is a Monday and we are closed then leaving Tuesday and Wednesday. We would have closed early on the 31st for New Year Eve. THIS is ONLY a idea at this point. We are holding a emergency meeting early next week. This will mark the end of a 12 yr run for the CGA operating the range. We have a couple of RSOs that average 300 DAYS of volunteer service.
This page will close also in that time period.

Additional Shotgun Info: Shotguns firing slugs only allowed on the pistol/rifle Range. This is a Safety Issue.
